Mental Mappings

Intuitive Maps Based on In-depth Interviews with Berlin Migrants

Each person interviewed was asked to describe a daily route and draw it on a map.

We collected almost 40 personal maps of city, with the everyday routes of people from Poland, Russia, Vietnam, and Turkey. For the exhibition, the routes were superimposed on one another to create a large single map defining a new space of seeing and hearing.
