Verda SindiranVerda Sindiran (1977) was born in Erlangen and trained as foreign language correspondent and translator in English and Spanish. Since 2002, she has been enrolled in the architecture program at the Technische Universit?t Berlin. She plans to write her final project on urban planning and historical preservation in Berlin’s Oderbergerstra?e. Verda speaks fluent English, Spanish, and Turkish. In her free time she likes to read, listen to music, and cook.

Projects and Experience:

2008
Internship at mbm.architektur—project assistance with renovating a former Jewish hospital in Auguststra?e; creating a brochure for prospective reconstruction of the main part of the New Synagogue destroyed in World War II; procurement of framework agreement for the Jewish Museum Berlin

2007
Participation in the 152nd Schinkel Competition by the Berlin Association of Architects and Engineers. Competition entry: “Train station square, new Potsdamer Platz, or Lehrter district”

2006
Redesign and modernization of “Le Frigo” in Paris, a former squatter building occupied by artists.

2004/05
Urban design project in Krakow, Poland “Die sozialistische Satellitenstadt Nova Huta” (“The socialist satellite town Nova Huta”

Earthquake-safe construction project in Tashkent, Uzbekistan and excursion.
