Topological Matrix
To enable the systematic collection of data and a comparative overview of selected images, statements and textual information, we developed a multi-dimensional, topological matrix that allows us to bring various different sources together relative to the spatial-locational relationships in thematic categories. As a piece of informational architecture and way of presenting spatial data, it provides the foundation for an integrative, scientific and artistic processing of the data and pre-evaluated results. Within the research project, the topological matrix represents the interface between the three phases of research, field work and analysis, since it establishes relations beyond biographical, spatial relations.
