Eiscafés Venezia (1998 – 2004)

Since the 1960s, a „Venezia“ called Ice Parlour has been established in almost every German city. Opened by the first generation of Italian migrants – mostly from the Veneto region. They call their party of italian life style „Eiscafé Venezia“. This speaks of a longing for Italy that equates ice cream with dolce vita. In addition to a typology of buildings, the cases of places with the same name also gave rise to a kind of trip down memory lane to our own youth, because who among us has not experienced one or two stories in one of these Venezia Cafés?
